Traffic Concerns in Upton

Traffic Concerns

I am very aware that a recent incident on Upton Lane, where sadly a very loved cat was killed, has reinvigorated residents' concerns about the speed and traffic numbers on the road.

Our PCSO has been carrying out speed checks and I am waiting for a reply to my email,  from our Highways Officers. Once I have the reply and details from our PCSO, I would  like to arrange a meeting with representative residents, the Police and Highways.

I cannot promise any radical changes but I do feel we need to consider what is possible. I will keep you all updated.

Repair to Hedges

I am pleased to report that I've had a reply to the request for the repair to the hedge on Glastonbury Avenue. The streetcare team will plant some thicker bushes in the gaps but this won't be until autumn. This is good news although I am sorry about the wait.
