Upton Parish Council has taken a step toward being a "plastic-free" Parish Council.
The proposal, made by Conservative Councillor Jill Houlbrook, would see the Parish Council move away from the use of single-use plastics.
Councillor Houlbrook said:
"I am very pleased that at last evening’s Parish Council meeting members agreed with my proposal to make start on moving towards a plastic free Parish Council. We will be starting with making the Pavilion a refill station for water rather than selling it in plastic bottles."
